The Willow Playgarten is a Waldorf inspired Homeschool enrichment program designed for families seeking to supplement their children’s independent studies. Our program is suitable for children who are between the ages of 4.5 and 6.5 years old.
Our program has its roots in Waldorf education and centers around an outdoor play-based approach with emphasis on the whole child approach, where children can learn through cooperative play, purposeful work, storytelling, puppet shows and practical and artistic activities. We understand the benefits of a variety of sensory rich activities that help build child’s mobility, fine and gross motor skills, spatial awareness, tactile sense, speech, proprioceptive senses, and all sensory integration.
It is through these activities, the children are working to develop their language, math and social skills, expand their listening comprehension, grow their attention span and pictorial memory for later reading abilities.
We spend our days mostly outdoors rain or shine! Our motto is “There is no such a thing as bad weather, only improper clothing.” Being outdoors helps a child develop a relationship with nature and the surrounding world.
Our month to month program provides incredible flexibility to families with a wide range of scheduling needs. We offer two, three, or four days a week of programming.
