Admissions Process

Finding the right school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child. If you are questioning the high-pressure “teach to test” model and want something more meaningful for your child, please contact us. We offer a comprehensive and inspiring “Renaissance” education in a spectacular setting. Our classic curriculum grounds children in the humanities, the arts and sciences and provides models of goodness and courage to carry with them into further education and life as active agents for the good. Children love to learn at Wildcat Canyon Community School.

More than smart.

Admissions: PreK – Grade 8

The Wildcat Canyon Community School application process begins in early fall for the next school year for PreK- 8th grade. Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are accepted on a rolling basis, space permitting. Contact Melylah Botté Smith, Enrollment Director, to confirm availability for your child’s age and grade: melylah@wildcatcanyon or or schedule a call.

How to Apply

Step 1. Inquire

Submit an Inquiry Form to get started and begin to receive information from us.

  • When submitting an inquiry form, you will be asked to create a password for Curacubby. Families use the Curacubby platform to submit all information, register for events, and submit applications.

Step 2. Get to Know Us

There are many ways to get to know our school. We ask that you attend at least one event prior to applying.

Step 3. Submit an Application

Applications are submitted through Curacubby and include:

  • Parent/Guardian Application Form and application fee (tiered)
    • Applications submitted before Dec. 12th receive priority for review and Family Interviews/Meetings
  • Contact admissions@wildcatcanyon.org if a fee waiver is needed
  • Complete the application in one session as Curacubby does not save drafts

Step 4. Speak with the Enrollment Director

Upon submission of the application, schedule a call with the Enrollment Director. Melylah@wildcatcanyon.org

Step 5. Submit Teacher Forms and Reports

Teacher Evaluation forms are required for all Kindergarten – 8th-grade applicants.

  • Kindergarten – grade 5 applicants
  • Grades 6-8 applicants

Have teachers return forms to admissions@wildcatcanyon.org

Upload your copies of student’s Report Cards/progress reports through Curacubby

Step 6. Indexed Tuition Request (optional)

WCCS uses a tiered tuition model and nearly half of the families pay below the True Cost of tuition. The request to pay an indexed tuition amount is due Jan 16, 2024.

  • The Indexed Tuition Request is submitted to the Finance Circle. (Link coming soon)
  • Indexed Tuition is assessed separately from admissions decisions. Once admission decisions are made, the Finance Circle assesses tuition levels for those being offered enrollment
  • Indexed Tuition levels will be included in the acceptance letters

Step 7. Family Interview

Chosen candidates will be contacted to schedule an in-person Family/Faculty Meeting

Step 8. School Visit Days for Grades Students

Grades students may be asked to complete a 3-Day Visit on campus before an admission decision is made.

Step 9. Notification and Enrollment

Wildcat Canyon Community School sends electronic admission decisions on a shared Bay Area schools notification date in March.

  • To enroll, families must return the signed contract and deposit within one week of receipt.
