The Wildcat Canyon Community School application process begins in early fall for the next school year for PreK- 8th grade.
Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are now available.

How to Apply
At Wildcat Canyon Community School, we deeply value the opportunity to get to know each student and family—learning about your experiences, what draws you to our vibrant community, and how we can support your child’s growth and development. Our online application process is hosted on FACTS and starts with filling out an inquiry form.
Step 1: Inquiries and Entry Points
To begin, submit an Inquiry Form. Once received, you’ll start getting information from our Admissions Team and be guided through the next steps.
Infant and Toddler – Parent/Caregiver Classes
The first entry point into WCCS is through the parent/caregiver classes for infants and toddlers. These classes are designed for both the child and their caregiver and help families ease into our school culture.
Mixed-Age Preschool
At WCCS, Preschool includes first-and second year PreK following the Parent/Caregiver Program

- Children must be 3 years old by the start of school in late August.
- We accept approximately 12 students per year.
- Two mixed-age classes are taught by a lead and assistant teacher, with a student-teacher ratio of 6:1.
- Students remain in the same class for both years, promoting continuity and peer learning.
- Most students continue into WCCS’ Lower Elementary Program (Grades 1–5).
Mixed-Age Kindergarten
Kindergarten is the primary entry point for our Lower School (K–5).

- Children must be 4 years old by June 1 before the school year begins.
- We accept approximately 1–5 new students each year.
- Two mixed-age classes are led by a lead and assistant teacher, with a 9:1 student-teacher ratio.
- Students remain in the same class for both years, promoting continuity and peer learning.
Note: Wildcat Canyon Community School also accepts applicants for Grades 1–5 based on space availability. Please contact Admissions@wildcatcanyon.org for current openings.
Early Childhood Homeschool Program
We also offer a part-time Homeschool Program for children ages 3.5 to 6.5, running Monday through Thursday.
- Approximately 10 students are accepted each year.
- This is a flexible, nature-based alternative for families pursuing homeschooling within a Waldorf-inspired framework or seeking more flexibility in their schedule during the younger years.
- Some of these students transfer to the grades program.
Grades 1 -5
We consider applicants for Grades 1 through 5 as space becomes available. There is one class per grade.

6th Grade - Middle School
Grade 6 is the main entry point into our Middle School Program (6th-8th grade).

- We typically can accept around 10 students each year into Grade 6.
- Applications for Grades 7 and 8 are also accepted based on availability.
- Our Middle School emphasizes small class sizes and strong, supportive teacher-student relationships.
Step 2. Get to Know Us
There are many ways to get to know our school. We ask that you attend at least one event prior to applying.

- Weekend Family Tours first Sunday of select months (children welcome)
- Virtual Info Sessions October 21st & January 27th
- Weekend PreK-8th grade Open House November 2nd & January 10th

Step 3. Submit an Application
2026/2027 School Year
The application link and instructions will be emailed to you once you have attended an admissions event or held a phone conversation with the Admissions Director.
2025-2026 Rolling Admissions
If you’ve recently discovered Wildcat Canyon Community School and are interested in applying after the Jan. 31st 2025 deadline, please email the Admissions Circle, or schedule a phone call. While we are still accepting applications for a number of grade levels, a few are no longer open at this time.
Applications are completed through FACTS and include:
- Application and application fee ($50). This must be submitted prior to a Family Interview being scheduled. Contact admissions@wildcatcanyon if a fee waiver is needed.
- Student Questionnaire (grades 5-8): Students answer a few questions and upload to the application.
- Submit Teacher Forms
- A Teacher Evaluation Form completed by your child’s current teacher is required for all applicants who are enrolled in a school/program.
- Send your child’s teacher(s) an electronic Teacher Evaluation Form through FACTS (follow the FACTS step titled Referral Documents: “Teacher Recommendation”
- For Preschool Applicants: One Evaluation/Recommendation form filled out by the daycare provider when applicable.
- For Kindergarten Applicants: One preschool teacher Evaluation/recommendation is required.
- For Grades 1-8 Applicants: Two separate teacher Evaluation/Recommendation is required. One from the current classroom teacher and one from the prior year’s teacher.
- Send your child’s teacher(s) an electronic Teacher Evaluation Form through FACTS (follow the FACTS step titled Referral Documents: “Teacher Recommendation”
- A Teacher Evaluation Form completed by your child’s current teacher is required for all applicants who are enrolled in a school/program.
- Submit School Forms
- Report Card Release Forms are required for grade 1-8 applicants (print Transcript Request Form through FACTS and upload your own copies of report cards/progress reports/transcripts to facilitate the process).
- Fill out the Transcript Request Form and submit it to your child’s current school. Have them email them to admissions@wildcatcanyon.org or have them mailed to the school addressed to WCCS Admissions.
Step 4. Speak with the Enrollment Director
Upon submission of the application, schedule a call with the Enrollment Director.
Step 5. Submit Teacher Forms and Reports
While submitting your application through FACTS, you will be prompted to provide contact information for teachers to submit Teacher Evaluation forms. They are required for all Kindergarten – 8th-grade applicants, and Preschool applicants who have attended daycare/programs outside the home. In addition transcripts will be requested for students who are currently attending school.
Step 6. Indexed Tuition Request (optional)
WCCS uses a tiered tuition model and more than half of the families pay below the True Cost of tuition. If you request to pay below Budding tier, you may send an email with your request.
Step 7. Family Interview
Chosen candidates will be contacted to schedule an in-person Family/Faculty Meeting
Step 8. School Visit Days for Grades Students
Grades students may be asked to complete a 3-Day Visit on campus before an admission decision is made.
Step 9. Notification and Enrollment
Wildcat Canyon Community School sends electronic admission decisions on a shared Bay Area schools notification date in March.
- To enroll, families must return the signed contract and deposit within one week of receipt.
