Because parents so value the education their child receives on our expansive 91-acre campus at Wildcat Canyon, students commute by car, bicycle, foot, carpool, and public transportation from all over the East Bay. Wildcat Canyon School is a 15-minute drive from Orinda or Vallejo, 20 minutes from Berkeley or Lafayette, and 25 minutes from Oakland, Piedmont, or Walnut Creek. For many families, driving their children or carpool to and from school is a wonderful chance to bond and get to know other children and families in the community.
Driving
Wildcat Canyon Community School is located just off the San Pablo Dam Road in El Sobrante — just 5-10 minutes on the freeway from Berkeley, 15 minutes up the San Pablo Dam Road from Orinda or 20 minute from Vallejo. Driving in the morning from the Oakland/Berkeley border is going against traffic so takes no time at all. On the way home, you can go with the flow again. Families coming from the eastern side of the Berkeley Hills can use the 24 and go up the San Pablo Dam Road for an incredibly beautiful drive through the countryside.
Carpooling
Carpooling is the primary way most families get their children to and from Wildcat Canyon School every day. Carpooling saves time and reduces our carbon footprint. The family directory and list of families by zip code is a useful resource for organizing carpooling.
Biking
Some members of our community are avid cyclists and bike to and from school. Bicycle racks can be found on campus.
Public Transportation
Go Green and use public transit! AC Transit bus #74 stops at the corner of San Pablo Dam Road and Clark Road, requiring just a quick 3 block walk up to the school.
